Communicating for Influence and Impact at Work
25 October, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$200You know that communication skills and emotional intelligence are essential to thrive at work (and in life). What does that look like on a practical level?
Have you wondered how to:
- Give and receive feedback with more confidence and clarity?
- Deal with judgments that arise at work, toward others or yourself? (What about that “difficult” colleague?)
- Reduce workplace conflict and stress, and increase enjoyment?
- Be more effective in meetings?
In this four week series, we will work with what is relevant to you today, in a practical way, so that you leave with insights, strategies, and principles you can apply right away. This is open to everyone and may be of particular interest to people stepping into leadership, managing others, and wanting to transform toxic workplaces. Participants will be invited to bring their real-life situations, questions, challenges, and willingness to engage.
What to expect: An interactive experience, including small and large group discussion, brainstorming, role-plays and other exercises, all in a context of mutual respect, empathy, support, and understanding. You will gain strategies to not only contribute to your workplace, but to live your values.
When: Tuesdays 6:30-8:00 pm, 25 Oct-15 Nov, 2022

“I have worked with Jean for an extended period of time. She entered my life when I was experiencing a major transition. Following a divorce and having not worked for nine years, I urgently returned to work. In less than 5yrs my salary has tripled and I’m in a fantastic company that aligns with my core values. Jean has coached and supported me through difficult conversations, underperforming work colleagues and toxic environments. Her guidance has allowed me to find a compassionate, authentic voice that resonates with not only myself, but my colleagues and the clients I work with. The days of expecting your company to give you quality training are over, taking responsibility for your own progress and behaviour, is a sign of a true leader.” –Tina
